Hike to Mukshpuri Top — Standing at 2,800 metres, Mukshpuri is one of the most popular hikes in the Galyat region. The trail begins from nearby Dunga Gali, covers about 4 km, and takes roughly 2–3 hours. At the summit, you're rewarded with panoramic views stretching across Ayubia National Park and, on a clear day, all the way to the Kashmir Valley. In winter, the trail turns into a magical snow-covered path.
Trek Miranjani Peak — For something more challenging, Miranjani is the highest peak in the Galyat area at nearly 2,992 metres. The 8 km trek starts right from Nathiagali and takes about 4–5 hours. The trail passes through dense forests of pine and oak, and from the top, you can catch glimpses of Nanga Parbat's snow-capped summit on a clear day.
Walk the Pipeline Track — If you'd rather keep things easy, the Pipeline Track from Dunga Gali to Ayubia is a flat, shaded 4.5 km walk through thick pine forest. It's perfect for families, casual walkers, or anyone who just wants to be surrounded by trees and birdsong without breaking a sweat.
Explore Ayubia National Park — Spanning over 3,300 hectares, Ayubia National Park is a biodiversity treasure right on Nathiagali's doorstep. The park is home to leopards, monkeys, bears, and countless bird species. Whether you walk its trails, take the chairlift for aerial views, or simply picnic among the pines, it's a highlight of any visit.
Visit St. Matthew's Church — A quiet piece of history sits near the centre of Nathiagali. St. Matthew's Church, a cedar-wood church built in 1914 during British colonial rule, has been lovingly maintained by a local Muslim family for three generations — a small but beautiful symbol of interfaith care. The church and its surrounding greenery make for a peaceful stop and some wonderful photographs.
